The Crucible are winners of the 'Best Three Piece' award at the Glasswerk Music awards '07.
Chunky guitars, almost proggy timings and huge drums make them stand alone with their unique sound melding ideas and influences to create their breathtaking sonic experience.
Having cut their teeth on the London circuit, they quickly gained an army of fans and headline sets at the likes of The Dublin Castle, Cargo, Bull and Gate and Underworld quickly followed.
‘...they sound mightily impressive. Interesting and different, yet still rock n roll translates into Alice in Chains and Led Zeppelin vs. Gomez, with the sonic hugeness of Muse...’
NME.
‘This is Hard Rock without the rough edges, and something to watch out for.’
Classic Rock
Dan is the creator of the band and held down a mundane job for years until one night the band played a sell out gig at The Moles Club, Bristol…He walked off stage and out of his job the next day and set about full time turning ideas into reality. Writing songs, playing the guitars and laying down vocal tracks his vision was evolving “I try to create a sound so powerful and emotive, that the audience leave with a residual feeling that is carried around, I believe that my creation of music is totally honest. I write what I do, I’ll publish it, and people have the choice of listening to it. I only hope enough people like it so that I can have my horse and TVR…” he explains.
After numerous line ups The Crucible are now armed with the vision and prowess to unload their unique sound around the UK with Jamie playing four fat strings, and Tim exploding around the drum kit in a whirlwind of fervour and beats.
