"I have strong memories of hiding myself away with as many pens and pencils, a cheap jotter stapled once through the top and losing myself in my writing. I lived for my imagination. I'd write pages and pages until my whole arm ached."

Not much has changed. Words are said to be the currency of Songstress Donna Fullman who considers herself 'rich' in words. Combining her two biggest passions - writing and music.

Growing up around London, with East End roots Donna was raised around Rock and Roll "Buddy Holly, Bob Dylan, Chuck Berry - always bellowing from the front room".

Influences from the 60s and 70s seep through into her songs. Embracing the authenticity and story-telling of folk music, enticing melodies of Country, with the atmospheric heart-pull of the Blues.

Life, wisdom and self awareness illuminates her.
Somewhere between dark chocolate meloncholy and the twinkle of hope is where she fits best.

Describing her approach to music making Donna reflects: "Like most things in life, it's what you leave out that can make all the difference. Space and Peace are to strive for."

"My heros selflessly worked to express themselves - whether that be music, painting, writing... For me, it's through my voice and writing with the guitar where I can best achieve what I need to express. This is all I want to do."

Talking of which I took up the opportunity to record our gig there in February so watch out for more on that... I'll post something you can let your ears rest on. Rejuvenated by a stripped… Continue
