So this my my unsigned page blog.
I could fill it with ramblings.
I could fill it with odes to my favourite unsigned bands.
I could fill it with all the gigs I've been checking out.
I could fill it with listings of gigs I'm doing.
I could fill it with pleas for help in gettin bookings across the channel for my bands.
hmmmm...
Think I'll do just that.

Band of the month (in our ears)
“Mew, belongs to that pantheon of bands that matter to young people, that inspire them with confounding yet honest lyrics, back it up with tight, anthemic songwriting, and perform with panache that is equal parts Metallica and Raffi.”

Today is Pangea day, the symbolism of one world.
This event is going live in the UK at 7pm on Sat 10th May.
Overview
The Pangea Day Mission & Purpose
Pangea Day is a global event bringing the world together through film.
Why? In a world where people are often divided by borders, difference, and conflict, it's easy to lose sight of what we all have in common. Pangea Day seeks to overcome that – to help people see themselves in others – throu…

Hey everyone!
We are an international ensemble of independent musicians based in UK, France and Japan. Our music spans genres from hard rock to ambient and soundtrack - collectively it was probably best described in a review by Indie-Music.com as sounding like the soundtrack of a David Lynch movie!. Thank you to those of you who have already signed us up as friends, and we look forward to meeting many more of you on this really cool site.

Up above my head there is blue sky
Below my feet there is dark
Somewhere in the middle there is me
Lost in thought.
Trying to make sense of a crazy world
When nothing makes sense to me at all
We're all just looking for the answers
Hoping for more.
Is this all there is ?
Do we continue when we die ?
Do the bad souls descend to Hell
While the good souls rise to the sky, ah Heaven.
Are we just pawns on a giant chessboard
Being moved by some power above
Are we just Actors on a stage

If you dig deep you will find
Somewhere deep inside your mind
I didn't really mean to hurt
I didn't mean to desert you.
I'm sorry I treated you this way
I'm sorry that I could not say
There's no more needs to be said
No more tears need to be shed.
I'm sorry but I really had to go
Broken promises are melting in the snow
We could never be as one we're only two
And that's the legacy I'm leaving to you.
Separate in space and time
what was yours
And what was mine
We were never really together

We grow older but no wiser
It seems to me there are no answers
But what the question is I can't define.
Messages keep getting scrambled
It's all too much to handle
My brain is overloaded I cannot think.
We're standing shoulder to shoulder
As we're pushing on the boulder
We can't afford to keep still
Gotta push it up that hill
But don't ask why.
I know it seems as though there is no purpose
As if we're living in a three-ring circus
But I guess it has to make sense to someone else.
I'm not sure…

It's a modern phenomena. With various networking sites at our disposal, and many virtual personas to get to know, what happens when you actually meet the folks you've only ever communed with via the internet? Match.com aside, it's nerve wracking hooking up with a pile of people you've only ever seen in 1D before. You know what? Thursday's kahoona at the Rhythm Factory blew this mentality royally out of the water...

A man adrift at sea dreams of a place that he would rather be
Feeling sick to his stomach as the waves heave him up and down again.
But there is hope a light beckons on the horizon to set him free
And a lifetime passes before his eyes
As he rests upon the sea
Upon the sea.
But that was a lifetime ago when an ocean felt like tears upon a veil
And loneliness wasn't right taking comfort from the blowing of a whale
With the sea you pass a thousand years and you learn to quickly face your fears

So many thoughts running threw my mind

How can you
Just let go

If only you’d allow

I want to hear my heart pound again

What have I done this time baby?
Why can’t you look into my eyes?
Like you did once upon a time
Tear drops fall from the sky
Kiss this pain away
Shelter me from the rain
It shouldn’t feel like this
It shouldn’t be quite like this
We shouldn’t be acting like this
Kiss this pain away
Shelter me from the rain
Hold me close
Until love remains x 2

Aberdeen Tunnels, 28th March 2008. Supporting The Whip.
Its no understatement to say that I had been looking forward to this gig all week. What I didn't expect was that I'd also have the pleasure of being introduced to Vesuvian for the first time. I don't think it would be unkind to say that they sound like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club with largely an image to match, but quite frankly it's a little lazy.
