- Somojo is more than just an internet radio station.
Yes, it's true, we do play a great selection of music to a growing worldwide audience. A great way for any band or solo artist to get their music out to a new fan base, but there is more to Somojo than just streaming music to you 24/7.
We have a great schedule and line up of shows designed to get the most independent and unsigned music out to as many new listeners as possible.
There is the weekly 'Official' Somojo chart for all the genres of music we play at www.somojo.net and genre specific charts for your favorite styles of music.
Somojo TV to show your music videos, short films and animations.
Somojo jukeboxes for listeners to hear there favourite type of music non-stop.
Musicians on Somojo get a free 500mb chunk of server space to store mp3s and videos that we include in the programming on Somojo TV and Somojo radio shows.
All artists on Somojo radio have the chance of free full page colour advertisements in the Somojo Magazine to promote albums, cds and tours. (Depending on space available. Contact us for details)
Along side the radio station we also have the Somojo Magazine www.somojomagazine.com dedicated to independent artists, film makers, musicians, photographers and writers. Initially starting as an online version, there are plans later in the year for a free download pdf and full colour printed versions.
The magazine will include features and interviews with independent and unsigned musicians, independent film makers, self publishing authors, artists and photographers.
Somojo is run by people who simply love music and the creative arts.
With backgrounds in journalism, photography, film and video production, the music industry and the internet. Each bringing their own unique diverse taste in music, art and culture and ideas of how Somojo can develop.
