Tell us more about you
Hailing from the mythical land of Kinmundy, Aberdeenshire the windswept and interesting five-piece Captain Face released three singles last year through independent Aberdeen-based label Fat Hippy Records.
First single 'Awesome! No Way!' (Fat Hippy, April 2007) enjoyed favourable reviews from The List, The Skinny and The Daily Record, enjoyed radio airplay and, bizarrely, was broadcast nationwide on television as part of an accompaniment to a political show.
‘Small Joy’ (Fat Hippy, July 2007) was featured on Radio 1, whilst '100% Crad' (Fat Hippy, October 2007) received similarly positive reviews from reputable publications.
The band specialise in marrying the sublime with the ridiculous and demonstrating an enthusiasm for creating riff-laden rock music with a smack of the outlandish.
Such is their unique sound, listeners find it hard to label the group but with comparisons ranging from Talking Heads to Queens of the Stone Age via Frank Zappa, Captain Face continue to surprise audiences and critics alike with their records and their energetic live show.
In short, they are a genuinely original band who make music and will continue to make music for the sake of it - not to get famous.

At the personal level,…
