AN UNSIGNED LABEL STARTED BY AND FOR UNSIGNED BANDS IN SHEFFIELD

Hi, I hope I am all right posting this?

I would like to introduce 'Spoonjuice Records' a Sheffield Unsigned MP3 Label running now for just over a year, which has been growing some homegrown sheffield talent, and hopefully from small seeds, big trees grow! you never know?

And It's been growing a while, we started more seriously with this project in 2006, with help of a lot of people, Sheffield bands and friends etc.... all working together to help promote friends and their own bands from the Sheffield area, as a collective group, with the help of sites like, Myspace.com ; Facebook.com; Vuze.com and of course unsignedchart.com etc. We are currently looking for anyone that wants to help out in either Promotion (on the web / word of mouth handing out flyers and putting up posters etc) / Video / Re Mixing / Mash Mixing / Radio DJs / Magazines & Newspapers etc etc... anyone that likes what we are doing and wants to help really!!!

We have been also, using torrents and file share site to distribute the music for FREE, to get the music out there and people listening to it on their computers and mp3 players, we aren't making any money out of it, it's all about the music, and using modern methods, using exactly what the rest of the Record Industry is saying is killing the industry : file sharing....

As a collective, we personally think that this is how the future of music is going to be, people in their bedrooms, local bands all getting together as a collection and helping each other out and using whatever means available to just do what they do! be creative.... and make something new for people to either like or dislike! as Bob Dylan said, you can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all the people all of the time...

As long as you enjoy it, that is all that matters!!!
